Snake Plant Care:

  • Soil:
    • Use well-draining potting mix designed for succulents or cacti.
    • Fertilizing:
      • Feed your snake plant sparingly with a diluted liquid houseplant fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer).
      • Repotting:
        • Only repot your snake plant when it becomes root-bound (roots visible through drainage holes) and needs a larger pot.
        • Best time to repot is in spring.
        • Leaf care:
          • Occasionally wipe the leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust.
          • Watering:
            • Check the soil before watering by inserting your finger a couple of inches deep; water only when the soil feels completely dry.
            • During winter, water even less frequently.
            • When watering, thoroughly saturate the soil, but ensure excess water drains from the pot.
          • Light:
            • They can tolerate low light conditions, but growth may be slower.
            • Avoid direct sunlight for extended periods, which can scorch the leaves.
            • Place your snake plant in a location with bright, indirect light.
